One silver lining with the pandemic is that we have been spending a lot of time outside hiking and enjoying nature. We’ve been going on long hikes and walks with Spencer (our dog) at least once every weekend, if not more. We find that connecting with nature is really peaceful and a great way to calm our nerves and help to relieve regular daily stress, and Spencer absolutely loves to hike and could go all day. It makes all of us much happier, and it is great exercise! Recently we left the city for a few days and rented an Airbnb just outside of Shenandoah National Park. We spent our days hiking through the hills of Shenandoah, and took the evenings as a time to try out new cuisines and relax at our house. Our little trip to the wilderness was a great way to get some time away during the pandemic!
