HIKING IN JANUARY

Over this long weekend Farris and I went on a nice hike at Farmington Creek Trail. Sadly, when we got there, the road was closed for the winter season. We decided to just walk up the road in the snow/ice into the canyon instead. It made for a beautiful afternoon with some cloud coverage and some sunlight with blue skies. The clouds seemed to be moving quite quickly which allowed us to see the mountains on the other side of the Great Salt Lake. Sadly, we haven’t gotten much snow so far this year, so they seemed to only have snow on their tops. We’ve decided we want to come back to this area in spring and summer so we can hike the trail we meant to hike.  Overall, we enjoyed a peaceful hike with nobody around which sure made for one incredible day.
