Our Weekend

I have a friend that I went to Grad School with that was supposed to come visit for the weekend. Last minute we had to reschedule, so this changed what our weekend looked like. I feel like a lot of people stay in during the winter months. During the summer we are doing so many things, but come winter, you can find us snuggled up in the house.

This was us on Saturday. We did some things around the house, including working on our puzzle. This is the puzzle we started with our adoption fundraiser. It is a 1,000 piece puzzle that has taken us forever. Well, we finally finished it! We discovered that neither of us are good at puzzles, but finishing this made us both so happy! We now get to glue it and hang it in the nursery! 

On Sunday we went to church and then we went to lunch with a few of our friends from church. After that we hung out for a while and then went over to my parent’s house. They are getting ready to have Alec build them a giant fireplace area. Alec is so good at that stuff. I like to think I have an eye for design (thank you HGTV), but I don’t know if I really do. He knows what he’s doing though, and when it’s all said and done, their living room will look so nice! 

This week is a normal week for us. Saturday, Alec’s mom and stepdad are coming up to visit, so it will be nice to get to see them!
