Quarantined Love

This weekend my family celebrated the “impossible.”  My baby sister, Jenna,  used to joke that she’d never find love.  She didn’t date in high school or college. She often wondered if she’d ever find her soulmate.  She hated dating but decided to go on a date with a man she met in early March nonetheless. They went out for coffee one week before the pandemic shut down began.

Jenna fell hard for this guy-literally (she slipped on a patch of ice on the way out of the coffee shop)!  His name is Allan and he is one of the kindest, most generous, witty men I have ever met.  He treats her like she is the most precious thing in his life because she is.

This weekend we celebrated their engagement and had a socially distanced wedding shower. Jenna oozed happiness.  She is so excited to begin her life with Allan and I can’t wait for him to join our family.

I’ve seen the impossible happen over and over again in my life. I am so glad that this “impossible” dream came true for my baby sister.
