Reflecting on Summer of 2020
The weather is starting to cool off, and it feels like fall is just around the corner. We can hardly believe that it’s mid-September–the summer sure flew by!
In thinking back on how we spent the Summer of 2020, we wanted to share a few highlights of our life together during this strange time in a pandemic:
We grew some veggies on our patio (tomatoes, cucumbers, and one lone bell pepper) and got to harvest and enjoy them on salads.
We squeezed in a weekend getaway to a cute bed & breakfast in a small town called Galena, IL.
We took our dog on a day trip to Michigan to visit Stephanie’s parents in their RV, which was our first time to see it! They fixed a nice lunch and we sat outside to enjoy it.
We saw a double rainbow from our balcony.
We read books, watched the first season of Perry Mason on HBO, started working on our home study renewal…and did some more daydreaming about meeting a courageous expectant mother who might be our match for growing our family through adoption!
