Steve’s Family Weekend
I saw my parents in person in Connecticut over the weekend for the first time in 1 1/2 years because of Covid. My son, brother and first cousin were also there for a great long weekend at our family’s beach house — perfect weather — high of 70, no humidity.
All of us went out to eat at an outdoor restaurant serving lobster, clams, chowder, scallops, etc. — typical New England food. I had a big lobster roll which was fantastic. Afterwards we went to a traditional ice cream place that is still a working dairy farm — unfortunately the smell of cow manure made us relocate to our car ?
Attached is a picture (left to right) of me, my father, brother and son.
My father gave me my “game ball” that I received in high school for being the top player in a lacrosse game. My name, the score of the game and the 2 goals I scored are written on the ball. My team won the game by 1 goal in overtime.
My dad also gave me his Navy dog tag . I am proudly displaying them in our home office.
The weekend brought back a lot of childhood memories. Fran and I hope to get back there this summer.
