Unicorn Club

Covid-19 has put a damper on a lot of things for us.  We finally found a kids activity that can still happen and it just so happens Emelia loves it, and so do I.  She goes to a riding club and has what they call “Unicorn Club”.  It has been great.  Emelia gets to ride one day a week and the second day of the week the kids do chores (teaches them that horses aren’t just fun… they are a ton of work), grooming, horse skills, horse facts and circle/play time.

While she is at the club I usually get to visit the horses or go for a nice walk.  Today JJ decided to try to eat my coat and give me kisses: I was loving it!

Today was a milestone day.  Emelia got to lead the pony named ‘Chicken Parmesan’ (what a name) around the arena without help from the instructors.  When I asked her about it she told me she wasn’t afraid and knew what she was doing.  Amazing! After class we visit the donkeys and say goodbye until next time.
