Covid-19 has put a damper on a lot of things for us. We finally found a kids activity that can still happen and it just so happens Emelia loves it, and so do I. She goes to a riding club and has what they call “Unicorn Club”. It has been great. Emelia gets to ride one day a week and the second day of the week the kids do chores (teaches them that horses aren’t just fun… they are a ton of work), grooming, horse skills, horse facts and circle/play time.
While she is at the club I usually get to visit the horses or go for a nice walk. Today JJ decided to try to eat my coat and give me kisses: I was loving it!
Today was a milestone day. Emelia got to lead the pony named ‘Chicken Parmesan’ (what a name) around the arena without help from the instructors. When I asked her about it she told me she wasn’t afraid and knew what she was doing. Amazing! After class we visit the donkeys and say goodbye until next time.
January 17th is my birthday and January 21st is our anniversary. They're so close together that we usually celebrate both in the same weekend on the same day. This year my birthday fell on a Sunday so we celebrated both on that day. We are celebrating 9
