I fell in love with Ashton on our second date after we spent four hours at Houlihan’s talking about everything and nothing, then once we got home, spent the entire night on the phone. By our third week together, I knew I was going to marry him one day because of how easily we could enjoy the simple pleasures of a day in the country, catching a football game, or walking through the city. We are still this close. We have our “shows”, go out on dates regularly, talk or text each other all day long when we are apart. He is my best friend.
Ashton grew up in Pennsylvania with one brother, who he is very close with, and two loving parents. His mom is from the Washington, D.C. area and his dad is from the Midwest. Fun fact: his dad is 6ft 7! He is ambitious, fiercely loyal and protective, and has a big heart. He is game for anything, is adventurous and is the first to get us all in the car for an impromptu weekend trip. Ashton is also (annoyingly) an early riser. By the time I get up on the weekends, he has already taken the dogs for a two-mile walk, gone to Starbucks and come back with a Mocha for me, and more than likely cleaned the kitchen and mopped. He has a ridiculous amount of energy and loves being outside exploring.
When we met, I had a three and four-year-old from a previous relationship. Ashton was (and still is) a great father. The kids love him like he is their father and are very close to him, particularly my son as they share a love of all things football. Ashton even coached several of his teams. Ashton is my partner in life and in parenting. His father taught him that to be a man is to provide for ones family and to be the person that family can depend and rely on. Ashton has lived up to this and more. I am lucky to have met him.
Ashton has so much love to give a child and I know, if you were to choose us, he will love, cherish, and protect your child as he did ours.
