About Us

Hello!

Thank you for taking the time to read our letter and learn a bit more about us. First, thank you for considering adoption in a world that says you don’t have to. We know this is an impossible decision, and honestly, we are super nervous as well!

Nando and I met twelve years ago at the University of Oklahoma. Nando is from north Texas and I grew up in New Mexico. We lived in Los Angeles before getting married and settling down in New Mexico 7 years ago. We live in a diverse community. We are surrounded by family, friends and a very supportive Christian church community.

Due to a major congenital defect, I was told I’d never give birth to a baby, but God had other plans. Our son Wallace, came into this world 8 weeks early and quite frankly he’s been full of surprises ever since. He’s now five. He longs for a sibling. He tells me the first thing he is going to teach the baby is sports…and magic. Don’t ask… 

The truth is, this life is full of highs and lows, uncertainties and fear. This we know. But our good God is with us through it all. We know he is with you as you consider this decision. We are praying for your comfort and peace.
