About Valleen, by Tim
When I was a senior in college, I got a phone call from my mother. “Tim, I met your future wife.” She went on to tell me about this lovely young lady who had just moved next door and worked as a nurse’s assistant at a home for the elderly. My mother knows me better than anyone else, and I thought that someone who has enough patience to care for the elderly would most likely make a great mother.
After meeting and getting to know Valleen, I quickly understood why my mother was so keen for us to meet. We both greatly desired to be parents, and she placed a high value on raising children to love God and others. Valleen has an amazing gift for wanting to include others. I don’t know if she knowingly does it, but she seems to always find herself on the fringe of any crowd, searching for those who are not being included.
She also has a very strong moral compass. I have never met anyone with such integrity when it comes to doing the right thing and doing things with excellence. That is something that I am so excited to see passed on to our children. I can’t imagine raising children with anyone else. I look forward to watching her guide our children toward excellence and love for others.
