Closing

Thank you for learning more about our family. We hope that we’ve been able to show how much family means to us and how ready we are to add to our family again. We know we’ve been faced with many choices on our path to parenthood, but none of these choices come close to the one you’re facing. We pray that you’re able to find the perfect family for your child. 

Throughout our adoption journey, Kali’s two aunts have talked openly about the struggles they faced not knowing “where they came from.” Since both of their adoptions were “closed,” they did not have any information about their birth families. However, they were able to find their birth families later in life and were grateful for the answers they have received and the relationships they’ve formed. After watching them go through this process and talking to them about the accompanying emotions, we feel that it’s very important to have open communication with our child’s birth family. 

In our home, we will speak of you often with love and gratitude. We will share our child’s adoption story from a very young age and would love to keep you updated with how they are growing and doing. We will always honor your wishes and will agree to any level of openness that you are comfortable with.
