When I first met Erin, I was hooked on her sense of humor. There’s never a shortage of laughter when you are with her. She makes me laugh, daily. Erin can quote/sing every line in Hamilton and will happily do so, at any given moment. It’s in these moments that I appreciate the light-heartedness of our relationship and how we can just completely be ourselves around each other, even if we are complete goofballs.
Erin is one of the smartest people I know and has an amazingly big heart. She has worked in the field of nursing for the past 25 years; currently working as a nurse practitioner. Her incredible work ethic and dedication are apparent in her care for, and commitment to, her patients and colleagues at her job. Even after a long day at work, Erin has the capacity to come home and offer an incredible amount of love and attention to me and our two dogs. She will, without a doubt, shower a child with this same love and attention, too.
Children have an affinity for Erin. Affectionately known as Aunt Erin to her friends’ children, she will happily sit on the floor while they doll her up in make-up or play various games. When she would go to their house on Friday nights with her gym bag packed, they knew that meant a sleepover. At which point, they would be over the moon with excitement. Our nephews also adore her. I know without a doubt that, given the opportunity, she will be an incredible mother.
