Family and Friends

We are happiest when spending time with our parents and close-knit friends. Plus, the recent purchase of our first car has made it even easier for us to travel home at our leisure. We are sure these trips will only increase when our family grows.

Holidays are super important to us. We love to take in the holiday lights around Christmas, and who can say no to a table full of homemade cookies and pies! We have some professional entertainers in the family (Karen’s cousin’s band is Japanese Breakfast!), so things are always lively and entertaining.

We don’t have a pet yet, we’re sure that we will add a hypo-allergenic four-legged friend to the family at some point when we get a larger space and more greenery! In the meantime, we really enjoy visiting Tom’s parents since they bought two King Charles Cavalier puppies. They stole our hearts!

Our friend circle is tight, and some of our cousins also adopted.  Though our friend-base has grown over time, we have kept in touch with our closest friends from childhood. One of them even married the two of us back in 2015.

Over the years, many of our friends started having kids sooner, and we have loved getting to know each and every one of them. Kids make us laugh and challenge us to be creative at all times.
