Hobbies, Interests and Traditions

Dale has been attending auctions for many years and his passion has now turned into his full- time job. He’s so fortunate to love his job, which also gives him the flexibility to work from home. As an avid collector of many things, Dale’s personal collection includes all kinds of maple sugaring items. From old cans and bottles to sugar molds, photos and documents, he has a little bit of everything!  One of our favorite things to do every spring is to visit Dale’s parents and help his dad with his own sugar house. 

Traditions and family gatherings are a central part of our lives and for Kristen, food is always at the heart of it all! Growing up, Kristen learned to cook from her mom and grandmother and she looks forward to carrying on that tradition with this child. The kitchen is the center of our home, which seems appropriate since food is central to birthday and holiday celebrations. No Christmas is complete without making Kristen’s grandmother’s rugelach and Norwegian cookie recipes!  Dusting the cookies with sugar and green sprinkles is the perfect way for a child to help with the baking and we can’t wait to share this holiday tradition.
