Where we live you are no more than a ten-minute walk or three-minute drive from the woods that surround our neighborhood. We live in a four-bedroom, split-level twin home that is located on a secluded block. We are fortunate to have a big backyard with beautiful trees. 

Our neighborhood is situated in the far northern reaches of Philadelphia. We are in a park setting but less than an hour away from that the big city has to offer. We are lucky to live a block from Brian’s brother, his wife, and two boys (ages 11 and 9). Because of this we have been able to be involved in a lot of the kid’s sport and social activities. There is a seemingly endless amount of children that are involved in scouting, sports, cheerleading and much more. We especially like the Halloween “Trunk or Treat” Party where cars line the parking lot of the church and give out candy to kids who come by. 

Philadelphia is a city of neighborhoods rooted in traditions. We are fortunate that many of our childhood friends and members of our family have moved to this area in recent years. It gives this neighborhood a feeling of closeness. Also, we are situated a few blocks from the counties that border Philadelphia and this offers us a wider selection of activities, more wooded areas, stores and entertainment options.
