Strength is defined by Webster’s dictionary as “the quality or state of being strong: capacity for exertion or endurance.” All I must do is look at Nicole to know what strength truly means.
Nicole has a kind soul, one that has been touched by compassion and joy. Her heart is one of openness and love, her kindness is rare and cannot be faked for any reason. For that reason, I am in awe of her.
I knew almost immediately that she was different. She has an infectious smile and a determination that can move mountains. She is stronger than I, and that makes her my rock of Gibraltar.
Nicole has two degrees; one in “Culinary Arts” and another in “Pastry Arts.” However, she now enjoys her career as a Chef, and has worked for the same organization for over 15 years. She has also purchased a house (the one that we now call home) and cared for MANY fur babies (as we have mentioned). These types of milestones are rare and precious.
When it comes to motherhood, I know that Nicole will use her smile to warm a child’s heart. She will use her compassion to surround a child in love. She will use her determination to ensure that a child will have a healthy home. And she will be that same rock that will give a child the confidence that she instills in me.
