Our Families

We love being with our families more than anything. As a child in a military family, Ihnil moved around a lot, and he’s been lucky to live in California, Texas, Indiana, and South Korea for many years. He is devoted to his niece, Harper, and nephew, Luka, who live with his sister, Kathy, in East Hampton, Long Island. We visit them often and love taking them to the beach. 

Spencer grew up in Connecticut but his parents now live on the Gulf Coast in Florida. Visiting them always feels like a relaxing tropical vacation. Both of them were nature documentary filmmakers, so adventure and travel runs in the family. Spencer’s sister, Lindsay, is a preschool teacher and is a master at keeping a child learning, creative, and happy. We look forward to learning all of her tricks. 

Traveling is something that’s extremely important to both of our families. We’ve been lucky to get to go to incredible places like Ecuador, Italy, Costa Rica, Thailand, Paris, and Korea over the years. In the last two years we’ve traveled to Cape Cod, the Grand Tetons, Palm Springs, Austin, and Palm Beach! Just last year Spencer went on a cross-country road trip with his Dad and our dog Beatrice, and he saw the Grand Canyon for the first time. We can’t wait to bring a child with us around the globe—we want our next trips to be to Spain and Japan!
