Justin And Julie

Our Family

Our families vary quite a bit in size (Justin has two cousins, Julie has 20+). However, there is one common thread we have woven into the fabric of our marriage: the significance of making time for family, regardless of distance, and the importance of upholding family traditions.

Although tricky at times around the holidays, we both strive to ensure that we are continuing to create special memories. Whether it is the Polish Christmas tradition of oplatek or opening up a new ornament to put on the tree, we have made it a priority to carry on traditions we each grew up with. We look forward to doing the same with a child of our own someday.

Food is also a big part of both our families, and the traditions we hold for Polish sausage and pierogi (Justin’s family) or a massive pot of meatballs and sauce on the stove (Julie’s family). Whenever the family is together there is never a shortage of food, drinks and laughter!

We would be remiss if we didn’t dedicate space here for our canine kid, Otis, as he partakes in every essence of family events and traditions. One of our personal favorites is celebrating Halloween with a new costume to adorn him with while passing out candy to all the neighborhood kids.
