Our Family

We are blessed to be surrounded by incredible family and friends. We live within 30 minutes of all our parents and spend lots of time with each side of the family. Our parents are loving, generous, and wildly excited to be grandparents. Our siblings are spread out across the US, but we talk to them often. We have one niece who lives near us, who we absolutely adore. Favorite family activities include gathering during the holidays (and non-holidays – we love any excuse to get together!), traveling together, and playing card games.

We also have an amazing “bonus family.” Alice was a nanny for many years and we remain close to the family. We are very involved in their kids’ lives. They live within a mile of us and we love spending time with them.

Adoption is a big part of our families – we both have numerous cousins and other relatives that are adopted. Adoption is talked about openly and often and has always been a blessing to our families. Ryan’s sister and her husband are currently pursuing adoption as well, so it will continue to be a family tradition in the next generation.
