Our Family

We were born and raised within the same community but didn’t meet until college. As a result of our marriage, our parents are good friends and attend the same church. We truly believe that it takes a village to raise children, and are so grateful for the love and support that both of our parents have shown us as we’ve become parents ourselves. At least once a week, we have visits from one of Caleb’s grandparents. Through our journey of pursuing adoption, our families have been incredibly supportive and are so excited to give the same tireless love to their new grandchild that they have shown to Caleb.

Sara has three sisters. Sara’s younger sister lives nearby and they see each other frequently. She and her husband are expecting a baby and are also hoping to adopt some day! Ryan has two younger brothers. They are both recently married and hope to have children of their own in the near future. We can already imagine the bustling cousin community filled with making memories together. 

We also gather so much life from our community of friends we met through church. God brought five other couples into our life who also have young kids, and are striving to pursue the best for one another in a way that strengthens our friendship and points one another to faith in God. We meet with these friends weekly in each others’ homes and all hope to be each others’ second family as the years go by. We pray for each other and they are praying for you with us.
