Our Hobbies and Traditions

We both love to be in the kitchen, cooking for friends and family. Katy especially loves to bake while Taylor is usually outside grilling. Family meals, whether for holidays, celebrations or just the weeknight dinner table were always very important to both our parents. When Marjorie gets home from daycare, she stands in her kitchen platform and watches Katy prepare dinner. She likes to be able to see everything that is going on in the kitchen!

Taylor’s favorite season is spring because he loves to be outdoors exercise, play golf, attend a baseball game or do yard work. Marjorie has only added to these experiences, and he is looking forward to teaching her to play golf when she is old enough! He also loves going to Purdue basketball and football games. Sometimes Katy goes too, though he is most looking forward to taking our children to a game!

Katy really likes fall and winter. She loves cozy sweaters and the chance to make soup for our family. Katy is always itching to turn on the fireplace so she can snuggle with the dog while reading a good book or crocheting a blanket. Marjorie has been with us to the orchard a few times, and we are looking forward to when our kids are old enough to pick apples, carve pumpkins, and drink apple cider.
