We live in a beautiful country home located across from our church, surrounded by corn fields and soybeans, although we do have some neighbors near by.
We also see the most beautiful sunsets and night skies! It’s incredibly peaceful, and our kids love exploring the nature outside. One of Annette and Abraham’s favorite activities is to go bug hunting. Abraham in particular also loves to watch all the farm equipment during the planting and harvest seasons, and one of his first words was “Baba” (combine). We have a newly fenced in yard with a swing set, and other fun items for the kids to enjoy. We also have a garden we attempt to cultivate, although we need to work on developing more of a green thumb. Although we live in the country, we are only a ten minute drive from town and family/friends.
We spend most our time on the main floor of our house. We have a fun little playroom off the living room, and a big table in our dining room that we use for homeschooling, crafts, games, etc. We also have a two-year-old dog, Atlas, who is a German Shepherd/Lab/Boxer mix. He’s incredibly well-trained, and he does so well with the kids! We also have a number of cats, both indoor and outdoor, and two hermit crabs that Annette named Rainbow and Wheely.
