Our Home

We live in a 100-year-old, brick home located across from our church. It’s surrounded by corn fields and soybeans, although we do have some neighbors nearby. It’s incredibly peaceful, and our kids love exploring nature outside. Even though we live in the country, we are only a ten-minute drive from town and family/friends, and are just 30 minutes away from Fort Wayne, Indiana.

The kids love to go bug hunting as well as watch all the farm equipment during the planting and harvest seasons. We have a fenced-in yard with a swing set, trampoline, and sand box. We also have a garden we’ve been improving on and expanding a little bit each year.

We spend most of our time on the main floor of our house. We have a fun little playroom off the living room, and a big table in our dining room that we use for homeschooling, crafts, games, etc. We share our home with our three-year-old dog, Atlas, who is a German Shepherd/Lab/Boxer mix. He’s incredibly well-trained, and he does so well with the kids! We also have a number of cats, both indoor and outdoor, and two hermit crabs that the kids named Sparkles and Lightning McQueen.
