Our Home

Our Home

We’ve made our home into a very comfortable space that we love and a great place for kids. In fact, the previous owners had two children who were, coincidentally, also adopted! We have a basketball hoop, a large yard frequently visited by deer and turkeys, as well as a playset with a slide and swings.

We spend our summer weekends at our home away from home, our camper in a private community. Our good friends live across the lake and we spend a lot of time with them, having cookouts and campfires, playing with our dogs, listening to music or playing cards. The campground is packed with kids and family-friendly activities such as mini-golf, an ice cream shop, a splash pad, arcade, playgrounds, a ropes course and a kids-only pool.

Our Neighborhood

We have met many of our neighbors since we moved into our home in 2015 on our frequent walks. We often stop to chat with them or let our dogs say hello. There is a large park nearby with a nature trail that we walk through. We love the diversity in ages and ethnicities represented in our neighborhood.

Our Community

One of our favorite things about our city is the amazing restaurants. We love exploring other cultures through food. We always enjoy our visits to the botanical gardens, whether to admire the flowers, be entranced by the annual butterfly exhibit or to enjoy an outdoor concert. There are 74 parks in the city and a great children’s museum!
