Our Home

We live in Northern Indiana.

We moved into our current home in 2019. It’s a ranch-style home with a finished basement and a fenced-in backyard, where our dog logs to run around. 

When we first moved in, everything was nice, but we had other visions. Alec taught himself how to replace the flooring throughout the house. He even built a built-in coffee bar. We love our coffee! Together we painted each room and decorated it based on our style. Our goal was to make our home welcome for everyone who enters. Our most recent project was the nursery, where we did an Arctic Animal theme!

We live in a neighborhood with lots of families and children of all ages. It is the perfect location for so many reasons. We’re just outside of city limits, so we have the perfect mix of suburban and rural living. There are plenty of parks to play at and lots of fun family activities nearby to enjoy, like our Minor League baseball team. We are also in a great school district, which was important to us when we were house-hunting. 

Beyond our neighborhood, we are a part of a great church community. It’s very welcoming and friendly, and we’ve found lots of support within this group. We are both involved in serving at our church. Alec is involved in the church’s Men’s Group, while Hannah helps serve coffee at church services. We are fortunate to attend the same church as Hannah’s family. This has allowed us to grow, not only closer as a family, but closer in our faith as well.
