Our Family

Most of Dan’s family members are artistically inclined. Dan’s mom owned her own photography studio for a number of years and is designing a mural in the designated nursery. Dan’s younger sister is an elementary music teacher; she and her fiancée visit our home often to enjoy meals and play games. Dan’s dad is ex-military and likes to spend his free time woodworking, just like Dan.

Sara’s family is known more for science and cooking lots of food. Sara’s mom was the head of the science department at her high school before retiring a few years ago and helped coach the robotics and HOSA teams. She typically spends several days preparing for hosting Thanksgiving for their extended family. With cousins, aunts, uncles, and Sara’s six nieces and nephews, the basement of their farmhouse gets pretty packed! Between the two families, there is no shortage of music, dancing, laughter, food, and love. Everyone cannot wait to welcome a new child into the family.

Our immediate household also includes two dogs (Stormy and Dante) and two cats (Odin and Freya). Our four-legged family members cannot wait to have a small human to give them attention and sneak them treats.
