Our Story

Hello! We are Spencer and Ihnil, and we are so excited to begin our family! 

We both are creatives who have worked very hard to achieve our dream jobs. Ihnil has a Masters Degree in Architecture from UPenn and is an architect, designing skyscrapers and affordable housing. After years in interior design, Spencer decided to pursue his lifelong love of cooking and has been living out his dream in the food styling world—making all of the beautiful food you see in cookbooks, magazines, commercials and the food section of the New York Times. 

We live in a beautifully diverse neighborhood in Brooklyn, NY. It’s a wonderful community, full of young families, tree-lined streets, and an adorable little library. When we are not in Brooklyn we are most likely visiting family. Spencer’s parents live down in sunny Sarasota, Florida, and Ihnil’s family is a short drive to the beach in East Hampton, Long Island. We love excursions out of the city, usually to a beach or lake, where we bring our paddle boards and our dog, Beatrice. 

We’ve known for years that becoming dads was what we wanted the most. We feel excited and ready to bring a child into our home. We will give them everything they could need to be happy and healthy, and to provide them with compassion, empathy and unconditional love so that one day they grow into an adult who puts forward those qualities into the world.
