We live for adventure and seek opportunities for fun and new experiences big and small, everywhere we go. We are so excited to explore life with a child, to see the world through their eyes, learn new things along with them, and guide them on their way as we live, laugh, and learn together.
We love to be outdoors and most weekends we are out hiking in the Catskills, camping in the Adirondacks, or kayaking and birdwatching close to home. In the winter, we love to go sledding and find a small, cozy getaway. When we go on vacation, we love to enjoy the local outdoors; most recently we went kayaking in the Florida Everglades and we hope to go camping out west in the near future.
In addition to our larger adventures, on the weekends, we enjoy a fun life around town and at home. Whether we are gardening, ice skating, playing mini-golf or watching a movie with popcorn, our life is full of opportunities to have fun and enjoy time with family and friends.
One of our favorite traditions is keeping track of our adventures throughout the year in an “adventure jar.” Each week we write down all the fun things we have done, big and small, and each year on New Year’s Eve, we read through the list to remind ourselves of all the fun we had together. We can’t wait for a child to join in this tradition and to make memories, reminisce, and be grateful for all we have as a family of three.
