First and foremost, thank you for taking the time to read this letter. We are truly grateful you’ve chosen to consider an adoption plan for your child, and we are excited at the prospect of providing a loving home for a child.   

This isn’t an everyday note. It is one of the most important letters we will write. So, where do you start? How can we genuinely articulate just how much admiration we have for you? Because we do. With every fiber of our being, we are impressed by your courage and strength; please know that its enormity will stay with us and never be forgotten. Given the weight of this decision, we understand you need to get to know who we are. So here goes…  

We, Todd and Jeanne, are a loving couple who’ve been together for over 14 years and the parents of one remarkable little boy, Sawyer. While we have been truly blessed biologically with Sawyer, adoption has always been top of mind throughout our relationship. So, please know when the day came to start this process, we were excited not because it was our plan B but because it was our plan A. Adoption always has been our plan A.
