Tom’s Story

I was raised with core values rooted in hard work. I’ve been working since I was 15-years-old, when I started as a dishwasher at an Italian restaurant. While I never would have imagined myself as an accountant, I’m very glad that I chose this as my career path! I consider myself lucky to work for such an amazing firm. They are very family-oriented, and have given us the chance to travel the world and have such cool experiences like bathing elephants in Thailand and visiting the snow monkeys of Nagano in Japan. 

Even though we have gotten to travel lots, my roots and support network remain at home. All but one of my groomsmen are friends whom I’ve known since middle school. Now that we’re back in the US, we are so happy to be close to family and friends (and our friends’ kids since they’re growing up so fast!).

People often tell me that I will be a good dad, and I can’t wait to become one. My parents raised me with the freedom to choose my own interests (I went from soccer to baseball to karate, and finally, ice hockey). I can’t wait to raise a child in the same way and be present in their day-to-day lives.
