I was raised with core values rooted in hard work. I’ve been working since I was 15-years-old when I started at an Italian restaurant. If you had asked me then if I was ever interested in becoming an accountant, I would have told you no. Now, I’m glad I chose this as my career path!
I consider myself lucky to work for such an amazing firm that allowed Karen and I to travel the world and have such cool experiences. It’s given us a great lifestyle, and the opportunity to live in Japan for three years.
Even though we have gotten to travel lots, my roots and support network remain at home. All but one of my groomsmen are friends whom I’ve known since middle school, most of which all still live in our hometown. Now that we’re back in the US, we are so happy to be close to family and friends (and friends’ kids since they’re growing up so fast!)
People often tell me that I will be a good dad, and I can’t wait to become one. My parents raised me with the freedom to choose my own interests (I went from soccer, to baseball, to karate, to ice hockey). I can’t wait to raise a child in the same way.
