Traditions

While we have many traditions we inherited from our families as well as traditions we made together, we look forward to creating new traditions as a family.

Springtime is John’s favorite time of year when the flowers are blooming, and everything is filled with color and beautiful scents. We celebrate Passover and Easter with our families and try to celebrate the season every day with walks and time outside.

Summer is Jon’s favorite season when it’s hot and sunny and a great time for going to the beach. Our birthdays and anniversary are in July, so we try to take some time off that month to travel. We’ve been blessed with many amazing opportunities to see the world and we want this child to have the same opportunities.

Fall is a time for fire pits, drinking hot tea and cocoa, and planting bulbs to prepare for spring. We love dressing up for Halloween, spending time with John’s extended family over Thanksgiving, and watching the colors change. As the days grow shorter, we enjoy cuddling up to watch movies or read books.

Winter is not our favorite season, but we still have fun celebrating Hanukkah with Jon’s family and Christmas with John’s. We look forward to sledding and playing in the snow with this little one.
