Will (From Mallie’s Perspective)

From very early on in our relationship, I started to see that Will is a rare kind of man. He is someone who believes God at His Word and desires to love Him with his whole self. He truly lives life out of conviction and faith. These things were true about Will long before he became a pastor, and are indicators of how he plays that role so well in our church.

Will is a very loving partner, often putting my own wants before his own. When we are going on a date night, he loves letting me choose the spot. He could easily be content going wherever. While I enjoy going for long walks, he prefers to find a bench and sit and chat. To me, he is the perfect combination of strength and gentleness in a man.

His fatherhood has been beautiful to watch unfold. Will has great ideas and wisdom for developing our children. At the same time, he is goofy and funny with them. They love to wrestle with him, play chase, and listen to him read books. I know Will has so much to offer our next child, because of the father that he is already. And I anticipate that him being an adoptee himself will provide a very special connection with an adopted child.
