Hi! We are Julian and Emily! We’re excited that you have found our page and are filled with gratitude that you may consider us as prospective parents.
We met in 2015 at our undergraduate university. We shared a friend group and learned that we came from rival high schools. Turns out, we had been 20 minutes apart our whole lives, seen each other (unknowingly) at sporting events, and just never got to meet until our freshman year of college.
Julian said it was love at first sight. A few months into knowing each other, we began dating and have enjoyed countless great memories forged together. We’ve cooked together, watched favorite movies and shows, gone on trips and vacations, visited the beach, been with our friends and family as much as possible, and more! We got engaged in 2022, married in 2023, rescued our sweet dog, Ymir, in 2024, and are eagerly ready to start growing our family!
Adoption has always been our Plan A. We are excited for the possibility of welcoming a child into our home and being able to give them a fantastic life. We look forward to talking more with you and getting to know you, to help the child feel confident and secure in themselves from day one.
Expectant mothers who choose to make an adoption plan may qualify for some level of financial assistance during their pregnancy. However, each person's situation and specific needs are different. Your adoption social worker can help you determine what level of assistance you qualify for and deserve. Many expectant mothers qualify for financial assistance to cover basic pregnancy and living expenses, including but not limited to - transportation reimbursement, utility assistance for phone, water, and electricity/gas, maternity clothing and supplements, etc.
It won't cost you anything. If you choose to place your baby for adoption, all of your medical and legal fees will be covered and you may be eligible for financial assistance with other pregnancy-related expenses.
Yes. Even if you don’t know the identity of the birth father, you can still choose to make an adoption plan. However, every adoption situation is different. The adoption social worker you’re assigned to will get to know you and your story first, and then guide you through the process accordingly.
You can make an adoption plan at any point in your pregnancy, even after the baby has been born. But, it's important to start the process as early in your pregnancy as possible. Connecting with those resources will allow you to gain access to important medical services, including prenatal care, to help ensure a healthy pregnancy.
One aspect of your adoption plan is the "Hospital Plan" an outline of how you'd like your hospital stay and delivery to go. You can craft this on your own or with the help of your adoption social worker. But everything is up to you. You’ll be able to choose who comes to the hospital with you, who is in the room with you during delivery, and how much time you’d like to spend with the baby before signing the final papers.
As part of your adoption plan, you'll determine whether or not you’d like to have an open or closed adoption or something in between. Open adoptions may include phone calls, messaging (via social media, email, or text), and/or periodic visits each year. Closed adoptions may include no contact at all or annual updates provided to the birth parent(s) by the adoptive family. Each post-adoption relationship is different and can vary based on what an expectant mother chooses in her adoption plan.
As you look for the right family for your baby, we think you may want to know about us more deeply than just how we met and the basics of who we are. We don't envy the decision you have to make; it must be extremely stressful for you. Our profile gives an overview, but if you'd like to hear more about us, please keep reading. We have been saving money and organizing our lives around this opportunity for years now. We looked at so many agencies, have talked with lawyers, and decided that ParentFinder was the best oppurtunity to connect with you. This has been something we have wanted to do for a decade, and now we are in the right place and time in life to do it. Here are some of the things you may be weighing as you decide on a future family, and why we are the best decision you can make when it comes to giving your child the happiest and healthiest life they could wish for. Location: We moved from southern New Jersey in summer 2026 to now live in northern Virgina. We are just outside of Alexandria, in a well-manicured, wealthy,...
As referenced across our profile, we have a group of friends that we are incredibly close with and have been for over a third of our lives. Most of our friends had children within the past month and we were able to visit them all and meet their children. Our friends are our family, and that's something that we hold dear in our hearts. We love them and their new additions to their families. Attached is a picture of the two of us and our new niece and nephew! We had an incredible day with their children; we fed them, changed them, cuddled them, and loved them. Days like this are surreal and incredible. These types of days are the days where we feel the calling to not only be parents, but be parents who will stop at nothing to see our child grow into the person they want to be. Days like this reinforce the gravity and importance on the decision you will have to make when choosing us. Rest assured, we're ready. We have love aplenty and want nothing more to share it.
