Hello, we’re Tai and Julia! Thank you for taking a moment to read about our family. We can only imagine the many emotions you may be feeling right now, and we want you to know that we deeply respect the love and courage it takes to consider adoption.

Our story began in 1998, when we first met. What started as a friendship grew into a love that has carried us through all of life’s ups and downs. Over the years, we’ve built a marriage filled with laughter, trust, and a deep commitment to each other and our family. We balance each other perfectly—Julia brings warmth and creativity (sometimes chaos), while Tai brings calm and strength. We love spending time outside, cooking meals, taking walks, and creating simple, joyful memories as a family. More than anything, we’re ready to share that love and stability with another child, welcoming them into our hearts and home.

We believe that adoption begins with the love of a birth parent who wants the best for their child, and the love we’re ready to give as adoptive parents. Adoption is not just about expanding our family, it’s about creating a safe, loving environment where a child can feel valued, secure, and empowered to thrive. We have already welcomed a child from foster care who had prenatal exposure, and this experience has strengthened our ability to provide a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment. We are excited to offer a home filled with love, stability, and encouragement, where a future child can grow, explore, and feel completely cherished.

I’ve always loved being a mom. Every day brings new joy, whether it’s homeschooling, organizing our home, cooking meals together, or laughing over something silly the kids said. I find so much happiness in creating a warm, safe space where our children feel deeply loved and supported. I’m nurturing by nature, a little bit of a perfectionist when it comes to keeping things cozy, and I love being there for every milestone, big or small.

About Julia by Tai

Julia is an incredible mom and the heart of our home. She loves our children with a depth that is truly inspiring—always putting their needs, happiness, and growth first. Every day, she fills our home with warmth, laughter, and care, making it a safe and joyful place for our kids to learn, play, and simply be themselves.

Her nurturing nature, patience, and creativity shine through in everything she does—from helping with schoolwork to encouraging curiosity and imagination, and from offering comforting hugs to celebrating every milestone. Julia’s dedication to our family is unmatched, and I know she will extend that same love and support to any child who joins our home.

I moved to the United States from Taiwan when I was eleven years old, and those early experiences taught me the importance of family, hard work, and perseverance. Those values have shaped who I am today and the kind of father I strive to be. I try to approach life—and parenting—with patience, thoughtfulness, and a steady heart. I’m always ready to drop everything to help with a science project, fix a broken toy, or simply spend time with our kids. I love teaching them new things, exploring the outdoors together, lifting weights to stay active, and cherishing every moment we share as a family.

About Tai by Julia:

Tai is the steady heartbeat of our home. I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to stay home with our children, and much of that is possible because of Tai’s tireless commitment and support. He balances our family life with calm strength, making sure everyone feels secure, encouraged, and loved.

Beyond his work ethic, Tai is playful, thoughtful, and endlessly loving. He delights in teaching our kids new things, exploring the outdoors with them, and sharing quiet moments at home. His heart is full of love for our family, and he’s ready to welcome another child into our home with warmth, guidance, and unwavering support.

Our children are truly the heart of our home. Each one brings something special, unique, and beautiful to our family.

Our oldest, Kevin, lives on his own but remains deeply connected and supportive of everything we do. He has such a kind heart and is always cheering us on. The younger kids absolutely adore him, and he’s a steady, loving presence in all of our lives.

Sallee, who is 21, is majoring in social work and women’s and gender studies. She’s compassionate, wise beyond her years, and always looking out for others. Sallee has a gentle, nurturing spirit that draws people to her, and she’s incredibly proud of our family and the love we’ve built together.

Jillian is a high school junior enrolled in a medical program at her technical school. She’s bright, motivated, and already dreaming of helping others through a career in healthcare. Jill loves spending time with her siblings—especially helping with crafts and reading stories at night.

Jamie, Quinn, and McKenzie joined our family through adoption, and each has filled our hearts in ways words can hardly describe. Adoption is such a special part of our story, and we treasure the bond it creates—not only with our children but with their beginnings as well.

Jamie attends a top boarding school and has an adventurous, independent spirit that keeps us inspired. Quinn is a cyber school student who enjoys learning at their own pace, exploring new interests, and asking big questions about the world. McKenzie, our kindergartner, fills our home with endless laughter, curiosity, and love.

All of our children share a deep bond and are so excited about the possibility of welcoming another sibling into our family. They often talk about the ways they’ll help, the love they’ll give, and how they can’t wait to share their favorite traditions and memories with a new little one.

Family is everything to us. Adoption has taught us that love isn’t defined by DNA—it’s built through connection, commitment, and the everyday moments that make a family truly whole. We’re so thankful for the chance to open our hearts again and grow our family in the most beautiful way possible: through love.

Home for us is about togetherness—family dinners, bedtime stories, helping the kids with homework, and celebrating the little everyday moments that make life special. 

We live in a spacious six-bedroom home on an acre of land, with plenty of room for our family to grow, play, and explore. Our backyard has a playground where the kids love to climb, swing, and run around—one of their favorite places to spend the day. Inside, we have a dedicated playroom for the kids, and toys can be found throughout the house. We even have a trampoline right in our living room! Our home is lively, cozy, full of laughter, and a place where children feel free to be themselves. 

We love spending time outdoors, honoring family traditions, and creating a safe, joyful space where children feel loved, supported, and free to be themselves.

Our neighborhood is quiet and friendly, perfect for outdoor play, walks, and spending time together.

Family is truly at the center of everything we do. Our family was built through both birth and adoption from foster care, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Love brought us together, and it continues to guide everything we do.

We’re a close-knit bunch who laugh a lot, dance in the kitchen, and help one another through life’s ups and downs. In our home, everyone has a voice, everyone belongs, and everyone is loved for exactly who they are.

We celebrate each child’s unique story and the journey that made them part of our family. Whether it’s a silly family dance party, baking together, or cheering someone on at a new milestone, we find joy in every moment we share.

Every child in our home, whether born to us biologically or adopted through foster care, is loved unconditionally. We make sure they know they are valued, safe, and part of a family that will always support and encourage them. We can’t wait to welcome another child into our hearts, to share in the laughter, the learning, and the little everyday moments that make life so special.

We believe in creating a relationship that feels comfortable for everyone involved, and we are interested in an open or semi-open adoption. Whether that means sharing pictures and updates, letters, or occasional visits, we will always make sure the child knows how deeply loved they are—by you and by us.
