Summer 2020

As always, summer has seemed to go by so quickly again! Despite
a few things being different due to Covid19, we’ve been able to have a pretty
normal summer and just wanted to give you a quick glimpse into what we’ve been
up to. 

Van learned to swim (without floaties!) and ride a bike, so we’ve been
doing those two things A LOT. Also making our weekly trip to the farmers market
and learning new ways to cook and bake with our veggies and fruit. I (Stacy) cooked with squash blossoms for the first time (!!) and finally figured out how to make my grandmas amazing zucchini bread 🙂 All summer we’ve been
working on a fun house flip not too far away from us, so it was such a relief
to have it all finished and under contract just a few days after being listed! We’ve
also really enjoyed going to outdoor church all summer long, with a potluck and
some friendly competition/ games each time. So much time was spent outside,
with friends and family, and also a couple trips up to TC and Ludington. Van also turned 4 in August and we celebrated with a train themed party and the most delicious chocolate peanut butter cake EVER. Now we’re just trying to
soak up this sunshine for as long as we can! 

We continue to pray over this
adoption process and everyone involved and, of course, any child/ children that
might come into our home in the future!
