About Us

Hello! We are Heather and Mike. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us. We are very excited to begin this journey, and we cannot wait to open our hearts and home to another child through adoption.

We both grew up in small towns in Illinois. In fact, we grew up just three miles apart from one another! Like most people that lived in our small community, we met at the local hangout spot. Heather was too shy to talk to Mike, so she made her friend talk to him first. We eventually went on our first date two years later and immediately hit it off! We dated for five years before we got married in 2007. After the wedding, we enjoyed a lazy and relaxing honeymoon in Riviera Maya, Mexico.

Raising a family has always been a part of our plan. We struggled with fertility for several years, before adopting our son, Jayce, in 2017. We are now looking forward to growing our loving family again through adoption!
