Letter from our friend Priti

Hello,

Jessica is my oldest and dearest friend – we have been friends for almost 30 years now – so I have a unique perspective on how special she is.  She has many wonderful characteristics, but above all, she is loving, empathetic, patient, and kind.  And I have known Mike since early in his relationship with Jessica, and I attended their beautiful wedding.

My kids, now ages 10 and 13, have known “Aunt Jessica” since they were born, and they adore her.  And they love spending time with “Uncle Mike” too because he is hilarious and always has funny jokes to share with them.  Jess and Mike babysat my children when they were little.  And as they grew older, they brought over games to play with them that they thought the kids would enjoy.  My kids love Jess and Mike because they both know how to relate to children, have taken an interest in their lives, and treat them like real people.

Jess has shared with my children her passion for the environment by teaching them about science, nature, and doing fun things like catching fireflies with them.  On one notable occasion when I had completely lost my patience with my son, she calmed me down and offered me some helpful perspective on how to better handle my frustration and dealt with my son in a loving way.  I was truly grateful that she was there for my family on that day, and that situation, along with her overall character, makes me confident that she will be a remarkable mother.  And Mike will be a strong, responsible, and caring father.
