Meet Sara (by Trevor)
Sara is a loving, kind, and honest person who is willing to help anyone she can. She has a tremendous heart for both animals and children. She has this uncanny ability to know what to do to help make a situation better.
Sometimes our dog, Cooper, will not eat his food. In those times, she just seems to know if he isn’t feeling well, or if he is nervous or just doesn’t want to miss out on whatever else is going on. She will sit down next to him on the floor and either talk with him, reassure him, or feed him until he eats his food. I know it is a little thing, but it is just one of the many examples of Sara’s nurturing personality.
Sara is a dedicated and dependable person, who shows so much love for people, children in particular. In the early years of our marriage Sara was an active part of an organization which directly helped children in need in our community. She worked tirelessly to help behind the scenes to raise awareness and funds for the children, but where Sara really shined was with the children. She had a way of putting them at ease and trusting her- even those kids that didn’t trust very easily.
I remember one event in particular, the organization took a group of about twenty at-risk kids to the zoo on a “field trip” for the day. All the children wanted Sara to be their “guide”.
I am very proud of her for setting a great example for the children as they all loved her for her personality, telling funny jokes, having fun, and ability to teach them about the world around them. It is moments like this, as well as just her character all around that make me believe that any child would be lucky to have someone like Sara in their life.
