All About Gwen—Josh’s Perspective

Gwen loves God, her family, and friends. She has a big heart and is persistently serving those around her, trying to ensure that others are well taken care of. At home, this looks like meeting the never-ending needs of me and the kids. She is very good at this – rising early, going to be late, and getting up in the middle of the night to take care of our little ones’ needs. She is very sacrificial, doesn’t complain, and humbly carries out the most mundane daily activities with joy. 

Gwen prioritizes our family but has continued to serve and socialize outside the home, in the church and community. She likes getting to know new people, learning about them, and being a light wherever she goes. Often, she comes home from the park and tells me all about the families she’s met, and it’s evident that she’s taken the time to get to know them.

As I think about Gwen’s character and personality, many more words come to mind, including joyful, serious, industrious, trustworthy, adventurous, fun, hardworking, loving, and studious.

• Hobbies: Spending time with her family and friends, being active outside, gardening, baking, and reading. 
• Favorite Book: She reads the Bible every day, and enjoys British literature. 
• Favorite Food: Salmon
• Education: She has a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy
• Job: Although her educational background is in physical therapy, she predominantly worked as a second-grade teacher and middle school track and cross-country coach. She loves being a stay-at-home mom and does not plan to return to work while the children are young.
