Afternoon at Yaya’s

Yesterday the boys and I went to my parent’s house in the afternoon for a refreshing swim with my mother (they call her Yaya). 

My mother has always been a kid at heart and even has a degree in child development. The boys adore her immensely and enjoy spending time with her! 

This summer, while Matt and I have been at work, my mother has been focused on improving the boys swimming skills and has done a wonderful job! They are getting so confident and comfortable in the water.

We spent four hours at their house that not only included swimming, but playing soccer too! My sister, who is in California getting her PhD in neuroscience, also FaceTimed us while we were taking a break from all the activity. 

When we finally headed back home for the evening, the boys could not wait to spend some time with their father before bedtime! 

All in all, it was a great summer day spent with the family.
