Fun in the Sun!

We have had a great summer so far. Michigan summers give us such wonderful warm weather and so many fun activities to do. 

We started the month at a friend’s farm and played with their donkeys, picked chicken eggs out of the coop and learned about crops. Laina even tried her hand learning a little bit of archery. 

With consistent warmer weather, Laina and Nana started on a garden together, and are growing zuchini, tomatoes and cucumbers. They enjoy watering it together and pretty soon we we will have some yummy vegetables to eat!

We started a new tradition this summer with strawberry picking. It was so fun to go to the strawberry patch with friends and grab icecream after. Fresh picked strawberries are SO delicious!

Summer wouldn’t be summer without lots of swimming and bike riding. We have enjoyed summer swim playdates and barbeques with friends and bike riding around town. WIth a lake close to our home, we enjoy bike riding to it in the mornings. We love Michigan summers!
