Helping Each Other

I’ve written before about wanting to teach the child we adopt to be kind – that teaching them to act from a mindset of kindness and humility will be a touchstone for us.

I saw the words below from Peter Chiykowski was reminded of an important aspect of that same idea, that kindness and humility are not merely passive things. Looking out our window and at TV and online and seeing the ways that people are reacting, some with fear, some with anger or denial, and some with determined and dogged intention…

Our child will grow up having the strength of shepherds modeled for them. It’s what we believe and act on every day and it’s a challenge to us when we are facing a crisis, just as when we are deciding how to treat each other and ourselves or how to react to those around us.

Be good to each other and be safe.
