Lake Trip Summer 2020

Greetings from Jordan & Ed!  Last week we were lucky to escape to a lake in New Hampshire. We had never been to this lake before but we immediately fell in love with the crystal clear water, deep-wooded shorelines, and stunning sunsets each night. It was the perfect break from our daily grind of working from home and managing life back in the city. The trip also gave us some time to reflect on the adoption process so far. While it has been challenging at times, we realized how lucky we were to get our Home Study done before COVID-19 hit. We’re also both so lucky to still have our jobs and our health. We know the last few months have been so challenging for so many people in all different types of ways. Now that we are back from vacation, we’re focusing on working hard, keeping up with family and friends (with lots of Zoom calls!), maintaining our garden, and cooking lots of summery meals. We’re so excited to bring a child along on this journey with us… we have no doubt they will love this New Hampshire lake as much as we did! We hope to do many more summer trips here in the future…. the calm, clear waters will be a great place to teach our son or daughter to swim!
