My Dad

My dad is a trooper. He’ll go anywhere you ask him to go. That’s how he ended up in this picture. I asked him to go see Hamilton with me last year in Indianapolis. He doesn’t like loud music or rap but he went because I asked him.

At intermission, he looked at me and said, “This is awesome!”

That’s my family. We do whatever we can for each other, big or small. And we can keep an open mind and learn from each other.

It’s been a blessing for me and my sister as we grew up because we were taught not to judge others but keep an open mind. That every experience can be a learning experience. And that we know more by exploring the world and being willing to learn.

I’m excited to be the same parent for my child. I want them to ask me to do things I wouldn’t normally. I am excited to teach them while knowing they will probably teach me even more.
