Staycation 2020

This year was a new year and for the first time in forever for the kids we didn’t travel to the cape. Life in a pandemic has left us closer to home and with the ability to see some of our home area that we don’t always explore entirely. It has probably been one of the best vacations to date. We chased sunrises to open up the parks, took some easy hikes, kayaked, found a waterfall, swam in 4 different lakes, sampled too many ice cream places, went on a safari, and had a family steak lake side picnic dinner. We spend several of our family conversations talking about our hopes for adoption and our awaiting the perfect match.
