The Zoo

Today we jumped in the car and headed to the zoo. The zoo has just started to open up again since quarantine, and we couldn’t be more excited about that. We have a zoo pass, so we land here regularly and have missed it greatly. We always ride the train the second we get to the zoo and snap a selfie.

It’s a treat to get to spend time with our friends who are home visiting from Africa for the summer. We are soaking up the summer, hitting the zoo, jumping on the trampoline, and playing outside.

Today I toted our 9 month old friend, Esther, around the zoo for a bit. It made me excited to tote our baby around the zoo just like I did Solomon when he came home to us. To share popsicles with them and giggle at the splash pad. I can’t wait to learn what their favorite animal will be. Will it be the tiger who is always snoozing? Or the goats we can pay fifty cents to feed? Will little bit want to ride in the stroller or fuss to be out and among the excitement? We are thrilled to find out and share those sweet memories with you along the way if you’d like. Our day today is fun, exciting at time, restful at other times, but always filled with lots of love and lots of time together.
