It seems like during the winter Alec and I do less. It’s cold and there’s no way you’ll catch me outside in those types of temperatures. This weekend however, was a little bit different.
We started the weekend Saturday by doing our own thing. Alec was working on some computer stuff and I went to grab coffee with a friend. I went to a local coffee shop and ordered a dirty chai (a chai with espresso). Sadly it was just okay, and overpriced. Regardless of the coffee, I had a great time with my friend. We caught up with what’s been going on in each others lives. We have known each other since middle school. We lost touch, but now we attend the same church. It’s been so nice to be able to be in each other’s lives again. Her husband is an adoptee. We had no idea of this until we announced that we were adopting. It’s been so cool to see his perspective. It’s one more couple that we know we can count on. It’s more support!
That evening Alec and I went over to my parent’s house for dinner. It was a pizza party! It was nice to see them with nothing else going on. Lately it’s been getting together for Christmas and New Years, but this time there was no agenda. Sunday morning Alec and I went to church and then set off for Target!
We set some Christmas money aside for some baby stuff. Instead of having a baby shower, we plan on having a welcome party whenever the time comes. With that said, we needed a few more things to make our nursery baby ready! We now have all the necessities if a baby were to join our family last minute. It was a fun outing with Alec. We treated ourselves to Starbucks. Alec got a white chocolate peppermint americano and I got a matcha green tea latte. YUM!
Hello there! Dalton and I just got back from the beautiful country of Aruba to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. We were so blessed to have been able to spend time together and with my grandparents on the trip. We absolutely cannnot wait to see what
I love to bake! Cakes, cookies, scones, you name it. I find baking so relaxing. Of course I don't mind eating it either ;-) So when Chris bought me a baking for dogs cookbook for this past Christmas, I was so excited to try it out for
Had a blast last weekend at a Fall Festival with our two youngest nephews. They are getting so big and their energy is out of this world! Watching them run around and play even in this crazy time just warmed our hearts! They had the most fun
