Just in a day’s time there is so much that we do. Both Alec and I have full time jobs, we have a somewhat social life, and we have family. I feel like the question that has been around forever is, how do you balance all of these areas? I honestly don’t think there is a right way. I don’t think that the way I try to balance everything would work for someone else. It just depends on your life.
Since right now it is just Alec and me this may be a little easier, but don’t get me wrong we’re still busy! We have the same work schedule so that’s nice! What we have started doing to help balance things has really helped us, not only as a couple but as individuals as well. I used to roll out of bed, get ready, and get out the door for work. I was tired and always eating breakfast on the go. A handful of months ago Alec and I started getting up earlier and sitting down to eat breakfast together. I feel like this is really uncommon with couples. It has been amazing! Of course I had to get used to waking up earlier, but this way we get a few minutes each morning to talk and start the day off right.
This also helps us when we get home from work. It makes the entire day better! Of course, this will get tweaked when a child enters the picture. The plan is for me to take some time off work, and eventually go back part time. Whatever that timeline may look like. Alec will be able to work from home a few days a week. It’ll be a full house and that’s what I want! We will have our morning breakfast, but with another little one. It’ll look different, but in such a good way! â¤ï¸ We cannot wait until this time comes!
One of the wonderful things about Central New York is that we have four distinct and wonderful seasons, each with their own fun and activities. Right now winter is on the wane. We are beginning to hear snipetts of spring bird song outside, and we're
Alec LOVES Shamrock Shakes. It is so funny! Even before we were dating, I remember him getting these all the time. He said that he has even bought two at a time and put one in the freezer for later! I mean, during the holidays he's obsessed with
In April 2018, we traveled to Lisbon, a city neither of us had been to before. We had an amazing time, staying with close friends in Alfama, the oldest neighborhood in the city. We enjoyed trekking all over the city, sampling the delicious cuisine of the
