About Lacey… as told by Jodi
Lacey is a detail-oriented person. She stops to take in life’s smallest moments, like noticing what kind of bird or plant we encounter on our walks or watching the sunset with all its colors. She helps me slow down and appreciate the world around us.
She works in nonprofit journalism – telling other people’s stories and making an impact in our community is something she’s incredibly passionate about.
In her free time, Lacey is outside. I call her “Farmer John” because she keeps our yard and garden beautiful. She doesn’t mind getting her hands dirty and becoming one with the Earth! She takes community classes on how to make our yard more bird and bee friendly, and cares about “doing the right thing” to leave this planet better than we found it.
I should also mention this: Lacey is funny. That unexpected kind of funny, where sometimes she doesn’t know she’s funny. To me, it’s the best kind of funny.
The love Lacey has for her family is fierce and it gets me excited to build a family together. She’s always down to dress up, pretend to be a superhero, or play pranks on all our favorite little humans. The kids love her imagination and always want her to read them a bedtime story. If I were a kid I would want her to read to me because she makes it captivating and fun.
