Activities and Interests

As a couple, we have several shared activities. We especially love to experiment with different recipes and cooking techniques in the kitchen. Sara likes to perfect her favorite baking recipes, and Dan likes to play with ideas he has while watching Food Network. We often help each other in the kitchen while listening to music with plenty of singing and dancing involved. 

We also like to spend time outdoors. Sara loves gardening, hiking, and camping, while Dan prefers bike rides. Together, we often like to take long bike rides around our community and explore the various walking trails and paths. 

For several years we have participated in a fundraiser for Riley Children’s Hospital where people play video, tabletop, and role-playing games for 24 hours to raise funds for Riley. Through this activity, we have made a lot of friends who also enjoy a variety of gaming. We often get together at our local gaming store to play Dungeons and Dragons and other games. 

We also love science fiction and fantasy TV and books and often listen to audiobooks together on long drives. We look forward to sharing our favorite books, movies, and games with a child as they become age-appropriate.
