Jason And Nicole

Holidays

We also enjoy celebrating holidays with our family. For example, during Easter, our family has a Polish Brunch. It is a time where we eat, play games and exchange baskets and chocolate bunnies (Jason is a diabetic, so my family ensures that he has something sweet tasting to enjoy).

During the summers, we celebrate Memorial and Fourth of July picnics at Nicole’s parents’ house with food, fun and a bonfire with s’mores to finish off the night. When it is time to say goodbye to summer, we have one last outdoor picnic at the parents’ house.

With fall, comes Halloween. We love to carve pumpkins and decorate the house with spider webs lights, bats, and scary sounds for trick or treaters! Thanksgiving is next and we usually celebrate at Nicole’s brother’s house with his wife. We eat too much, talk too much, laugh too much and of course play as many games together as a family.

The Christmas holiday season brings out the joy for our family. While we have a joyous time all year, Christmas is magical for us. Every Christmas Eve, we have dinner with family and friends at Nicole’s parents’ home. Christmas day is a more intimate brunch with our immediate family; usually snacks and cookies and eggnog while we exchange gifts and enjoy each other’s company.
